The challenge here is can you find a consultant that has industry knowledge in the specific areas that you need help? The other challenging aspects of consultants are that they typically charge a high hourly rate, leave you with a bunch of ideas and then disappear, leaving you alone with the challenge of implementing their ideas.
  • Align with a franchise – this appeals to many people because not only do you get industry specific support, but it is also typically a good value when you compare it to the other alternatives. Also, with a franchise you are creating something that has lasting value that can be sold when you are ready to exit.
